Oops!

My apologies bloggers for my lack of updating. Massive grr at me. Okay, so I AM back and I sure as hell will be updating more regularly from now on and working much harder on this here blog.
Was swamped with work recently but everything looks clear in the foreseeable future.

In fashion news:
Just found out about a great looking Aussie label called MINKPINK and obviously had to get something to road test it. Me likey my blush pink blouse very much. Nicely cropped and translucent-ish. May post a pic.
Anyway I don't know where on earth i've been not to have noticed this before - the Kardashians and Katy Perry have been all over it.
Unluckily for us Non-Australians they have a website that doesn't deliver to "the rest of the world" - blasphemy! But they are stocked in my own personal mecca, the great love of my life, Urban Outfitters. Snaps for Urban and all the other wonderful stockists that you can find over here... http://minkpink.com/int/store-locator

Unfortunately they don't seem to have updated their website in a long while and haven't put up any new collections since Spring 2010. Honestly. Never mind though, just means we have to get off our bums and go shopping rather than lusting from a distance. Yay for our legs who get a nice workout. And arms. Depending on how much you buy. Sorry arms!

So there you have it. I stop blogging and fail to notice a hot little brand from the Land of Oz. You can chastise me if you like, my fault! At least I've seen the error of my ways, aye. Anyway, off you trot to look it up!
Little tip - you can use that link up there!!

Internet

Hello hello, my internet has been broken the last week or so, so no new posts!

In other internet related news, you can now shop online at Zara! Yaaaaay! I could not be more excited - why hadn't this happened before? Tut tut. At least we have it now.
Gap (along with Banana Republic) is now also online in the UK, another first. Glad everyone seems to be catching up, even if it is a few years late.

Zara is also available online in 5 other European countries (not US or Canada though, sorry loves- the shops it is for you).

We Love Vintage

VINTAGE! Yaaay!!
A recent shopping trip to Camden ended with the discovery of a complete treasure trove of vintage accessories. I wasn't going to share this with you all, but i decided that that was just too selfish - so don't go buying up all the stock. Save some for me.
I am the proud owner of a very very gorgeous vintage camel coloured suede over the shoulder bag. Great gold and peach detail, with a gold handle, 70's and only £20!!!
Lots and lots of shoes and boots outside, the accessories shop is tucked away around the back of Camden Lock market, with a clothing section upstairs (definately not as good as downstairs). Hard to distinguish it at first, especially when you don't know what you're looking for - we used iPhone satnav! But luckily for you, there's a picture right there so you have a clue of what to look for when you go - highly recommended. The name of this vintage heaven do I hear you ask? Berty and Gerty.
Bally shoes for £20? Gina stilletos for £30? Friendly staff to boot?
YES PLEASE!

Ginger Hair

Major hair colour envy going on after watching The Notebook. I am in love with her hair colour - wish I could write to them and ask what hair dye they used (guessing it wasn't a wig).
Don't see what people's problem is with gingers, I'd love to have red hair. Thought I'd just put that out there.
Yaay gingers; be proud!

Highstreet

Time for a quick rant from me about the state of a certain British high street store. While some shops seem to have got the right mix of fashionable basics and great value down to a tee (hello H&M and your super hot designer collaborations with Jimmy Choo, Mathew Williamson and the just announced colab with Lanvin to name a few) an old favourite to nearly every Brit, and visitor from everywhere else in the world, seems to be taking a few steps back.
That's right, I'm talking about Topshop. Great shoes, great jewellery (not minding the shit quality - nearly every piece of jewellery brought from there has broken or stained my finger green) but the clothes just aren't doing it for me anymore. Toppers used to be the single best shop out there - their Oxford Circus store left me feeling like I'd died and gone to heaven - but recently has left me feeling blank and uninspired. I don't know if it's the way my fashion sense has progressed to a more "anti-consumer" level, or if Topshop really is becoming more and more about pleasing everyone that walks through the door. Maybe it's a bit of both, but it seems like the clothes are becoming less original and more, dare I say it, common.
Don't get me wrong, I still go in to check out their latest offerings, and you can always find a few hidden gems if you look hard enough. Their range by Kate Moss is about the most unique thing in there at the moment, but that's just taken from other designers and made a bit more everyday. Come on Topshop; I miss buying your clothes!! Step it up a level! Zara, H&M and (my favourite) Urban Outfitters are becoming more and more popular and fashion forward as the days go by. Stop trying to please everyone and go back to the forefront of British fashion! The high street needs you!!

Oh, and just in case you were wondering the Lanvin collaboration hits 200 specially picked stores worldwide on the 23rd November, with a special film showcasing the designs on 2nd November. Don't forget to check it out, past colabs haven't let me down - I'm still loving on my Jimmy Choo's.

Loving the cat lipstick

Yayy. I've had a muck around with the blog and blog maker and worked out how to post pictures! Step 2 of creating a fashion blog complete!
So, like I said before, this is the Paul & Joe cat lipstick that I think rocks. It comes in 3 shimmery colours (mistake on their behalf, alot of people would have way prefered block colour, but I'm crossing my fingers they'll release more shades soon) with 3 awsomely patterned tubes - my favourite's got peach swans on it.
I am a little behind with this as it came out about a month ago, but I love it anyway and if it's this cool, does it really matter how long ago it came out?
Maybe it does but I'm posting it anyway. The blog needs colour and cat lipsticks seems like the best way to go.

Note to self: BUY!

The beginning

This is hopefully the first post of many. Written whilst watching The Hills in my living room.
I was going to start with a little bit about me, but have decided to remain anonymous, so I'll keep myself nice and mysterious in the event this turns out to be a load of shit. Less embarrassment.
I was also going to start my fashion reporting on Paul & Joe's latest lipstick (in the shape of a cat!!! That's the actual lipstick, not the case!) but it will probably take me some time to work out how to post pictures and get the whole format of the blog up and running.
And by the way this is my first ever go at creating any kind of blog (I did make a web page for GCSE ICT 2 years ago). So it's probably going to be pretty crappy until I work out how to use this - I was never any good with the whole MySpace html thing. Don't take this first post at face value, the rest of the blog will be nothing like this when I work it out. Hopefully.
Oh god, I've said hopefully too much. I need to get some new words before I start writing this thing properly. Google should really install a synonyms thing, the same as Word.
